Okay, something doesn't sound right... need input
Hi guys. I have a whooshing sound that occurs when I'm 50% or more into throttle. It sounds like it's from the back of the motor toward the firewall. The power seems to be okay, but I'm concerned about this since it wasn't there previously. It's been there for about 2 weeks now. Could this be the internal bypass on the blower going bad or something else?
I am not getting any check engine lights and the car seems to be running fine. I don't have any software to check the boost levels.

Check all the hoses and clamps on the entire intake.
Had a "teapot" whistle that I couldn't trace down once... Discovered a loose hose clamp on the intake tube. No more whistling "I'm a little teapot" as I go to pass someone...

Agreed. Loose clamps can cause havoc with any engine. Normal engine vibration would cause the intake hose clamps to loosen up over time with the Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio Spider I had back in the late 80s. Drove me crazy for weeks until I stumbled upon the problem poking around under the hood one day. That was long before on-line car forums. I don't know how I managed to keep all of our vehicles running properly in the pre-forum Stone Age days....
I'll check out the connector of the over the engine pipe to the throttle body. That's my thought but I thought I'd see if anything was common. The blower has 56k on it. The blower was gone through12k miles ago but the bypass is original.
Isn't it great when it is just the simple stuff!
Glad it all worked out...
