Default P0327

Around christmas, I drove my '03 STR 1k miles roundtrip without any problems. Then I haven't driven the car for the past month, it just sat on the side of my house (no garage at my new place). Today I started it up to take it for a drive and I get code P0327, restricted performance, and DSC not available. I drove it around for about 15 miles, hoping maybe something was just frozen up after sitting in this ice winter but no luck. I recently reinstalled windows so I don't have JTIS installed at the moment, could someone tell me what that code means? And what could have caused these issues suddenly?

Possibly knock sensor bank 1

As always I'd check the battery first

Knock sensor code, bummer. Check the battery as mentioned, but also the wiring harnesses. Maybe some water got in there and froze or something.

It's a brand new battery, bought it the week before christmas. But it wouldn't be the first time I saw a new battery go bad.

Battery tested, all is good on that end. Despite the lack of DSC and supposedly being in restricted performance, the car feels like it's running ok.

So last night and then this morning, the DSC intermittently faults off and on. But I no longer have the check engine light or restricted performance. So maybe it is just a sensor or something that froze up after sitting for so long?

If its gone I would wait for it to come back (maybe it won't) before going after a knock sensor. Its not a simple repair.
