Most often, when trying to close the sunroof, it closes about 2/3rds of the way then opens back up all the way. I have to push the close button from 3 to 5 times to get it to finally close. I have reset the sunroof a few times per the owner's manual, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Also, some of the times when it does close, it doesn't seal all the way on the first attempt. Often have to close it a few times for it to seal completely. (When it doesn't seal, it creates a small wind noise/whistle). Any suggestions or comments are much appreciated.

 

grease the track. I just did my driver window assembly and it made a HUGE difference. Im about to do the rest of the windows and sunroof as preventive maintenance.

 

I had that problem on my last S-Type...Dealer didn't have a good answer other than give them permission to pay the hour rate for as many hours as they need to diagnose the problem, I passed...

Since it is a service tech bulletin does this mean that Jag dealers will fix it for free? I would print the first file & take it to your nearest Jag dealer.
