I have had this in my Jag since I bought it.
I get in the car & it works all the time
You have to charge it every couple of weeks

Method works Samsung S5 Verizon Jaguar S type 4.2 2005
turn ignition swith to on and press the telephone button on the audio panel. enter ##3#*# using the panel keyboard. press the on-screen call icon or call button on the screen. prepare your phone to connect using blutooth through settings on your phone. select search for devices after search select jaguar and enter code 1313 press ok to confirm. hope this helps
this method does indeed work with a Samsung S5 Verizon and a Jaguar S type 4.2 2005.
I clicked the "call" symbol on the car panel.
I entered ##3#*# on the car panel. The phone, when paring, suggests using the 0000 or 1234 but using 1313 on the on the phone, it worked.
The automobile is recognized as "Jaguar" showing an "ear bud" symbol next to it.
Thank you very much!

Hi
I followed your instructions and they do work for a Samsung S5 Verizon and a Jaguar S type 2005.
However, and this is no disparagement of your methodology, I CAN call someone from either the phone or the car and the call goes through.
But, all that I "get" is the "carrier signal"....the static noise thing that one used to hear. To explain for those who are not familiar with the technology cell phones use a "carrier signal" and then place the "voice" or the "data" " on top of " the carrier signal. That is why texting is no charge for the phone company they just load something else on top of the carrier signal.
To summarize:
a) the phone does indeed work using your method
b) however what I, personally, get is the "carrier signal" heard by myself or the person being called but no voice on top of the signal.
c) I called my wireless company and the local high end folks who install third party stuff and my garage and each agreed that "they could not do more than was given in your post".
So......again THANKS!!! You provided a method that works but apparently, the phone itself is not "supported" by the car's system in terms of actually sending voice. Again, not your fault.
I am now stuck at the "phone in use screen of death", can pair or anything after I hung up.
I am now considering purchasing a supposedly "approved" phone from Jaguar's list of phones. Verizon said that they would provide another "line" and help me get the alternate phone working with my original number and just have to use the alternate phone in the car. Which, really, is not that big a hassle.
Again, BIG THUMBS UP for your method!

Phone system work with cell phone
I tried but mine is apparently the older system--no bluetooth. The old Motorola cell phone plugs into an armrest receptacle but ZIP. Of course, at this point the battery is dead for the original phone and I could replace it but I really want to somehow be able to use my iPhone. Further suggestions?

Jaguar USA referred me to AT&T. AT&T threw up their hands in despair, but did tell me the old Motorola phone that came in the car will never work because of AT&T's current system. I guess the visit wasn't a total loss. No one though has been able to give any tangible answers re. how one may use an iPhone through the 2001 XKR's controls and speakers. I have wondered if some geek could create a cable that had an Apple lightning fitting at one end, and a Motorola fitting at the end that plugs into the car; would that work? Surely someone has mastered this conundrum. . . Sadly, it kinda makes me want to get a Toyota. . . ARRRGGGHHH
