2006 s type trunk wont open, I have 2 keys but none of them turn in the key hole?????

 

Oops typo its a 2008 although dont think there is a difference!

 

Have you tried lubercating the keyhole?

 

A good dose of WD40 applied into the key slot with the thin plastic pipe is best but spray the key slot and push the key in and out and waggle it around.

Because they don't get used they gunk up.

Perhaps you have two valet keys? They are cut slightly different so they won't open the trunk or glovebox. They only work the door and the ignition.

I think the difference is the bevel on the end, but am not positive. Anybody know for sure?

If the trunk won't open with the remote or the dash switch, check the valet button in the glovebox. If accidentally depressed (easy to do), it inhibits the electric release.

 

The regular key has a smaller bevel on the end.

 

Right on about the valet key..i took one of mine and filed it smaller to work the trunk....that is my daughters key..at least if she loses or misplaces it i am not out the way expensive original one

 

you can add 12v power to the power junction supplied behind the right hand front plastic under guard panel .
to boost power.
or charge the battery slowly through the eng bay fuse box.if low voltage is the primary issue .
