Do you have the built in type receiver installed in the ashtray area, or do you have an aftermarket unit suctioned to the windshield or some other mounting arrangement?

That message is definitely due to the antenna either not being plugged in, or not being in a position to get a signal. The antenna for aftermarket installations usually looks like a small hockey puck with a single wire running to it.

George - thanks for the tip on the tint, I'm having mine tinted this Spring, I will be sure to have the non-metallic installed.

jag79:
The tow ring cover fell off the rear bumper? Or did you tow the car and still have it?

I bought one and still have to get it painted. I'm guessing it never came with it at the time of purchase. Why are you looking for one for your S type?

Hi Chris X, its the built in type in the astray. I couldn't find that hockey puck looking antenna in the trunk, any suggestions where to look for it?

No. Just asking because many people don't know about the tow ring and what it's for.

You then have the factory installed Sat radio. I don't know if they use the hockey puck style antenna, I have a feeling they may use something else - can anyone confirm? I believe you would have the antenna mounted on the roof, right above the rear window if it was dealer installed.

Maybe a step to take in the meantime is to go ahead and pull the side panels off and see if you can get to the back of the Sat radio head unit and check the connections, perhaps it is as simple as the antenna plug falling out.
