Default plugs in the boot

hi can anybody help .i have two multi pin (16)plugs in the nearside boot space,one is blue and one is grey ,does anyone know what there are... thanks dave whitt

year and trim level of the car would help immensely...I'm guessing the grey one is for the package tray sub/amp enclosure, unless you have the factory amp/sub combo in the car...Does your car have indash navigation?

yes sorry ,its a 2000/1 on a y plate 3.0 sport it has no sat nav or amps

those are both wiring points for the options your car didn't come with (nav and package tray sub woofers).

thanks for the advice,does this mean that all the wiring is pre installed for sat nav.phone etc

Mine is 2001 3.0 SE no amp and SAT NAV!!! Have C.A.T.S!!!

hi stefan so you have both plugs in the boot and sat nav ,this will mean that the cables in my bootdo not have anything to do with the sat nav

No,I dont have SAT NAV and I dont have AMP! But I have C.A.T.S dumpers! So I was woundering are these cables as for you as for me for these two things?

the plug nearest to the back of the rear seat is fo the amp, the othe plug should be back toward the drivers side tail lamp (I think)thats for the nav none of it has anything to do with C.a.t.s.

hi i tried to post pics ,,,no joy but they are two two plugs about 1.5" =3/4" both tape together with earth rings ,i went to the dealer but no joy there. please help i want to fit sat nav .....this is my first jag want a car ,,black with18" monaco wheels looks great
