Default Power Bleeders

I had asked about flushing the brake fluid. They were talking about it on the Corvette forum and many say they use one of these. Fill it with fresh fluid, pressurize and open the bleeders.

Think I'll get one for the shop. Just have to figure out which one. Besides the Jag, we have two other cars with ABS that I doubt have ever been flushed. Much like the cooling system, how many people actually do this stuff? If it saves repairing an ABS system it would be cheap.

There are cheaper ways to do it, but those are all very good tools and do help quite a bit. I flush the fluid in all 4 vehicles every 2 years or thereabouts.

EDIT: I'd probably just go for the Universal kit at $104, since you have a variety of vehicles.

Brutal, does yours have the quick connects for the adapters? I'm debating on which one and it looks like the same version is 50 bucks more with quick connects instead of threading them on & off.

Yes, mine has an a "t", close/open valve and then a quick disc/connect for the adapter, oh and a pressure guage on top of the brass "t" fitting

Thanks, Quick connects it is. I'm thinking it will make switching less messy.

I don't have a power bleeder, but the last time I did brake work on my vette I installed a set of speed bleeders. Makes a huge difference when you're trying to do brake work by yourself.

i have the motive power bleeder for German cars. It works pretty good. Only issue is that there are a couple of check valves on top of the brake reservoir, if they are weak, it will leak and spray fluid out of the reservoir.

I looked into making one out of a garden sprayer and an old reservoir cap as described here: Make Your Own Power Brake Bleeder - Triumph Herald Tips & Tricks

But the effort was worth more then the cost of the motive.
