Default Pre-installed Satnav

I have recently bought a 2000 (w reg) SType with factory installed satnav and phone system. My husband has sourced a handset for the phone but does anyone know how to get newer disks for the satnav, think the one I have probably came with the car 10 years ago.

Hello, welcome, there has been a bunch of thread on this, and Im not sure about a 2000, but try this:

$199, HOWEVER, the lowest the model year on the site's drop down list goes to 2003. Not sure if in 2000, Jag used a different company other than Denso. I hope not, seeing as there probably isnt any updates that would work on your vehicle. Take the part number for that 2nd link and call Jag corporate, they are very helpful. Good luck!

Be aware that you have the early CD based system which is really obsolete today. Jaguar updated to a DVD based system with the 2003 redesign. I really would suggest replacing the old cd based system with something aftermarket. There are after market install kits that make it look pretty good!!

I don't know if you can find any newer CD's?

It may be a CD not DVD, in which case I don't think there's an update. (Go for a tomtom or garmin.)

100%!

I have the 09/10 update disc and it is terrible, POI's suck and TomToms blows it out of the water.

The disk box has both jaguar and denso part numbers but I think from other posts that it is a CD rather than a DVD and I will not get an update for it, so will have to look at either a replacement or just a garmin or tomtom instead
