been getting a few of thr jobs done ready.
So far:
- Fitted new radiator (old one blew on the motorway and left me stranded on the hard shoulder for 4 hours - cut a long story short the AA apologized by sending a Jaguar mechanic who replaced the radiator for free at my home the next day!)
- Fitted new water pump - the old one was plastic, but was in perfect condition - new pump was also plastic because apparently they have stopped using metal since if it breaks it destroys the engine, where as a plastic one doesn't.
- Fitted new rear discs and pads and sliders (found one seized solid)
Things left to do (getting her in the shop for these):
- New rear tie rod bars (looking a little tired)
- New driveshafts (shafts are fine but threaded ends had rusted badly and crumbled away when i did the discs, so want to get them swapped - bought some secondhand units to install
- Cam cover seals need doing (again) own fault for buying the cheap seals the first time round - sticking with the jaguar OE this time round
- Checking timing chain top tensioners and replacing if required.
Can anyone recommend anything else which i should check over or maybe replace prior to going? Reckon i have pretty much covered all the weak points, etc.

A pretty sweet list.
I will assume that the serpentine belt was renewed when the pump was renewed?
A trans fluid drop and refill will do no harm.
Apart from that a full tank of go juice, some nibblies for you, and hit the bitumen.
