Default Question about parking brake

I was recently at the local junkyard to get parts for my x308 and I came across a 2006ish jaguar s type with some aftermarket rims that didn’t look to bad the issue was I couldn’t get them off because the rear tires would spin freely. Is there a way to override the e brake and get the rims off

Get a long strong rod as thick as you can that can fit through one of the holes in the wheels.
Wrap the area where it will be in contact with the wheel with a rag so it does not damage the wheel and push it through.
Turn the wheel until the rod jams on the suspension and then undo the lug nuts.

The X308 was the last Jaguar sedan to use the 5 on 4 3/4" bolt pattern. The S-Type uses a FORD bolt pattern (metric).
