In search of a solution to a malfunction with fuel trims, I came across this bulletin. I'm almost 100% sure that I don't have these updates installed. Early car L16649. The question is how to upgrade so as not to turn PCM into a brick. I have SDD / IDS and mongoose pro available. At the last connection, I offered to update the firmware of the control unit and gearbox, but I did not dare) Does anyone have experience with these ancient units?

 

the simple solution is only use a wds or vcm to do it

if you end up needing a new ptec good luck. maybe you can run immo setup and it will do a parameter reset on the cluster and steering lock

 

Is that TSB about fuel trims? Doesn't look to be relevant to them.
