ETM Question
I was "having fun" yesterday with the ETM -- was actually just checking my speedometer setting, but got to looking at this chart - https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...nt-cluster-pdf - item #33 shows that it displays "TCM XX XX" which is explained as "Displays coding of Transmission Control Module (TCM) configuaration settings."
Does anybody here know what that means "in English?"
The reason I ask is this -- I recently acquired this vehicle from the original purchaser (my mother-in-law) and she said that it has always had the "lurch" problem, sometimes worse than other times, but she learned to deal with it/ignore it because multiple trips to the dealership didn't solve the problem.
The car has the sticker that says the TCM was reflashed about 3-4 months prior to the original purchase.
When I entered the ETM and scrolled down to #33 it showed "TCM 0" -- I was wondering if that meant that they never actually reflashed the TCM, or what the zero means?
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Mike

I've only seen it described as N/A which usually means not available.
You can read your TCM's software version using an elm327 if you wish to know. My notes say that the ScanMasterELM demo shows it, for example. (So does AE and I can't recall what IDS/SDD does but heck surely it does.) It's known as the CALID and matches the filename used by IDS/SDD on the versions I have.
