I am looking to buy a set of the Xenon headlights for my Jag. Are all year and model S-types interchangeable with mine?

Will I need anything special outside of the headlights ballast and bulbs?

 

If your referring to the entire headlight assembly - I believe for Xenon - 2003 - 2008 MY's are interchangable.

I just changed mine out on my 03 and the donor vehicle was a 2008 STR.

By the way it was well worth the money, they look like a million bucks. Only thing I am not sure about is converting from Halogen over to Xenon. I dont know if there is anything else needed to do that... Depending on the condition of your current headlights it may make more sense from a cost perspective anyway just to buy a xenon conversion kit off of ebay I believe you will need the H7 bulb kit to replace the standard halogen bulbs with the xenons...

 

Also before I forget the ballast have to be programmed by the dealer to wor with your car. They WILL NOT work just plug and play... All the more reason to go with the xenon HID kit intstead! ;-)

Regarding converting from halogen to xenon - I heard it can be done but is a royal PITA - I thought about taking this on but decided to pass. Finally, those xenon ballast "conversion" kits sold on fleabay are a farce!
