You cannot source an aftermarket radiator as they are all for a standard transmission which do not have the trans cooling lines. Here is the best deal I could get for an OEM radiator at $337 plus shipping:

Direct JPLV Porsche Parts.com

This is easier than the STR I just did but not for the faint of heart - in short it's a bitch...

You're a new member so need to follow the rules the site told you or you cannot download / see things. The site enforces the rules.

Drain the coolant, take out the electric fan and everything bolted to the shroud like wiring and aux coolant pump etc..., pull the bumper cover for easier access and the mounts up top that bolt the core in place. Remove and cap trans lines and remove rad hoses. Unbolts the power steering, condensor assemblies and tie strap them to hold partial togwether in place for reassembly. Pull radiator and reverse for reinstall. That oem radiator price from gaudin jaguar is employee pricing. And rick i know you save money but i have gotten too many things aftermarket that dont fit correctly. Not that these would be but.............something to keep in mind on a repair you want to do and get done quickly.......OH AND YES YOU HAVE COOLER LINES

All aftermarket radiators are for manual transmissions - no trans coolant lines. Only the OEM will work. I went down this road...

Here are some things you will need:

3 gallons of premix (50/50 coolant and distilled water) DexCool orange. It's cheaper to buy 2 gallons of non-mixed and two gallons of distilled water. Mix it before you put it in the radiator and yes you will have a gallon of mixed left over - still cheaper.

Double backed tape to re-install the foam on both sides of the radiator and the top retrieved from the old radiator. Carefully peel off the foam. I peeled the foam off before I removed the radiator as you will need the room to work the radiator out passenger side first in order to clear the a/c hard line above the radiator lower return on the drivers side.

A pan bucket to catch the coolant when you first drain the coolant and subsequent coolant from disconnected hoses. Don't use the old coolant - see above.

You will need two O rings for the trans coolant lines. You install them on the lines before reconnecting to the radiator. Cap the lines with some plastic wrap and twist ties. You don't want to contaminate the trans fluid.

You must disconnect everything on the two wiring harnesses attached to the fan cowl before removal. Pay attention to where the harnesses were routed originally. Some of the connectors will drive you crazy disconnecting as they are all different. Do not force any of them. They all have magic clips, locks, twists and turns.

Get an extra set of hands when actually removing the radiator to guide and keep coolant lines on the passenger side from preventing this side from moving forward so you can slip the return on the radiator from under the a/c line.

Look up the refill procedure for the 3.0 motor. Mine was an STR so I popped off the 19mm Hex on the coolant manifold on the passenger side of the supercharger and reused the brass washer. Open the air bleed on the expansion tank and fill-er up. In my case I kept an eye on the coolant filling up the supercharger coolant manifold and capped it when the coolant started making its way up the threads.

Once full close the bleed and install cap on the expansion tank and start up the engine. Turn the heater and fan up full blast and bring engine up to operating temp. Shut down. Top up. Check for leaks. Done...

Default Thank guys,,

I want to thank everyone for their input.. I figured it wasn't going to be easy but wanted to double check.
I think in this case I may want to find a mechanic to do this job.

thanks again

Default Having trouble Help

Hello,
I am having trouble removing the radiator from my car. I drive a 2002 Jaguar S-type 4.0. I have already removed the fan and all I need need is to pull out the radiator. However, the AC line on the left side of the car doesn't let me take it out... I don't want to have to remove it because I'm scared they will break since they are very fragile. What can I do? Is there a trick to doing this??? It seems like they put those lines there just so that I couldn't remove it...
Help
Thanks
