In the not too distant future the rear tyres will need replacing.

I'm not sure which size to get. The wheels are 18" monocos and the previous owner had 245/40 front and rear.

But am I correct in saying from factory the rears were 265/35?

I checked the sticker on my door jam and it doesn't mention 275's

Any help much appreciated.

Darren.

Your rear tyres should be the same size as the fronts, unless they were of staggered size from the factory. Variations in outside diameter can throw off the ABS and DSC.

Jaguar's sizes are listed under Specifications in the Driver's Handbook for my year car and may well be for yours, too. I suspect 265 won't be there.

If the same as my MY then 8x18" are 245/40 and 97Y or better

I need to edit that original post. As I meant 275/35 not 265.

Only reason I ask is the tyre search online for my reg says 275 on rear. But my dealer told me 245 on rear. Same as front.

But apparently some s types do have 275 on the rear whilst having 245 on front.
Strange.

You bet! The STR had 9.5" rims so are you planning to change to those...
