I have a 2000 S type v6, and need to remove the mirror, however I note there are different versions on different cars throughout the years.
See pic below, it has a very small setup on the windscreen, do I push upwards or downwards to remove this, it seems absolutely tight on the windscreen?
Where is the connect to this mirror, I looked under the overhead console once removed, nothing there.

I'm going to install a new mirror and wired it up. I just did this on my x308.

Solved

Here's the answer.... I searched Ford forums thinking it's a ford part and was right.
One uses an Allan key , takes 5 seconds , mirror shifts upwards parallel to windscreen
Makes sure you disconnect the connector plug in the back of the mirror, and move aside the long tubing cover...apply some silicon to the bracket first for lubrication.
