Default renewing air cleaner element

Wanted to replace air cleaner element. Service manual says Im roughly 150 000 km overdue on changing it. Anyone know where about it is and if Its something I can tackle with ease or leave it to the dealer. Only $27 part. Thanks

It always helps to post your car's year and engine size. Just be sure to unbolt the air filter box and lift it from the engine bay before you attempt to open the lid. By doing so, you will not crack the plastic lid and cause your car to throw trouble codes due to an air leak....

If you don't know where the air filter is at this point please pay someone to change it.

He has to start to learn his DIY skills somewhere and the air filter is an easy enough place to do so....

Jaguar s type 2002 v8 4.0. I guess the way its worded is different in the u.k. Is renew air cleaner mean change the air filter? lol was thinking it was something to do with cabin air filter or something in the cabin that cleans the air through the ducts. If its the air filter I guess I'll change it out. I bet its been 48000 kms since

Renew the air filter means replace the air cleaner/filter element (or whatever it is called in Canada) with a new one. Remember to thoroughly clean the air filter housing of any debris and ensure it seats correctly when you reattach the cover so the retaining clips are not damaged.

Ya I changed the cabin air filter couple years back don't think there was any screws though. So only two air filters then. After reading the service manual I was convinced there was a third. Thanks again guys
