Default Restricted engine performance light

Dose anyone know what could have made this happen. I got a restricted engine performance light message and flashing yellow check engine light. I was on the hwy. doing about 60-70 mph in 3rd. gear in the j-gate 3500-4000 rpm it was on for like a min. I put the car back in to D and slowed down and the lights went out. Everything was ok. Turned the car off and on. Everything working I tried to pull codes use the trip mode test and nothing was there.

computer glitch. You must have a 3.0 V6??

My suggestion. Disconnect the battery for20 minutes or so. Then turn car on and off about 8 times. You should not ge tthat error again. And if you have a 99-02 s-type do not use that j gate.

Ya I have a 03 s-type v6 3.0. I went to AutoZone to see if there are any codes and I first got a p1111. Cleared it then scanned it again and got p1000 and it will not clear. Dose anyone know what the two codes mean?

yes. see my new thread i put up for the variouscodes. All are default messages for OEM Jaguar. These are unigue to Jags only, so applying them to other cars will not be fruitful.

yeah. but to tell you the truth, I am a novice.

This Forum used to have so many techs but they are nowhere to be found.

Your best betis to track them downfrom thememberslist.

FactoryTechJaguar and Brutal are two guys who know their stuff.

Default RE: Restricted engine performance light

Ok round two my Restricted engine performance light came on again and the flashing check engine light. When I was on the HWY doing 95-110 in 3-4 gear in the J-gate. I then put it back in drive and slowed down to 30 mph I was getting off the HWY and it just went away. I when to 3 auto parts stores and pulled no codes andI did the tripe hold down to pull some codes and nothing. What the h*ll is going on. Could it be the battery it's the OEM one still in their I bought the car use don’t know if it was replaced. But it always starts up and I put volt meter on it and in puts out 14.7v - 14.10v. This is a weird one that it does not store a code. Any Ideas....
