Default ringing sound flexplate area
2000 S-type, 4.0L: sounds like bolts are loose, but everything is out and all seems tight. Seems to go away in gear (not sure).

Have any of you had any flywheel/flexplate issues???

Need more info. I would check the shifter linkage, engine mounts and exhaust hanger componets but could give you a better idea with more info. How does it sound when driving?
