Default rising temp needle....

For the second time yesterday my temp needle shot all the way to the red. Its funny because I think it may be a problem with the needle/sensor. It went all the way up super fast thenall the way back down in a few seconds. Im not sure ifits the temp sensor of if its actually overheating. I added some orange coolant......any ideas, anyone experience the same thing?

Your thermostat may have stuck for a short time causing the car to get hot then opened and went back to normal. Wsa the car running for awhile or did it happen at startup?

Here's a generic one. If you can locate it, it is pretty easy to replace.

Hope this helps!

Been having the same problem. Just changed the Thermostat and it happened again. I'm having the sensor checked as we speak. (Or as I speak)...
