I a 55 plate s type 2,7 and the needle in the rev counter clicks but doesn't hardly move and isn't set to zero all other info in the dial ie computer is ok

It should have read I have a 2005 s type jaguar and the rev counter needle clicks but doesn't move and isn't set to zero hope someone can help Rod

Did this just happen or did you get the car this way?
Have you tried the gauge check in Engineering Test Mode?

Hi thank you for the reply It was a problem when I bought the car there were other problems but they are now sorted except for the rev counter .How do I test it thanks Rod

Cheers for link. The tachograph won't zero or read on red line just gets stuck in the 6 o'clock position. Any other ideas?

Remove it and examine up close. Send away for repair if desired.
