Default s-type 2000 catalyc converters and 02 sensors?

I recently took the car to my jag dealer they told me both cat converter and both sensor needed to be replaced they quote me over 3,000.00. i search the forum and found some aftermarkets selling for 100 to 150. i don't want to buy the wrong one, if possible i would like to get the part number or link to buy them. also the o2 sensor P/N thanks

Which O2 sensors? Upstream - coming off the manifolds or downstream after the cat converters? I'm going to presume downstream since they are telling you both cat converters are shot.

By the way - was your engine light on? Any OBDII codes stored?

If the dealership is right with their diagnosis - you can get O2 sensors from Rock Auto - they are reasonable. $25 for each upstream (you need 2) and $26 each for downsteam (again, you need 2) - Denso Brand - good quality - they are in my 00 Jag. I would change all 4 of them at that price!

You can get the cat converters from Rock Auto as well - they have a left listed from eastern for $200 and a Catco right side for $247

If your mechanically inclined and have the ability to adequately jack up the car securely replacing these items should be an easy task. Biggest issue would be rusted bolts.

On top of all that there is a code on the forum, which entitles you to a 5% discount on your purchase! Here it is: 5% Discount Code: EF79F53CBB0A
Expires: 7/04/2012

Just as an FYI - I'm not endorsing Rock Auto - I use them for my auto needs and sell good parts and great prices.

Good Luck

elmo... What motor/ 3.0 or 4.0? As abonano writes, Rockauto.com. You can also use Magnaflow hi-flow cats (less money but more flow and better throttle response.
