I am considering purchasing a 2003 S-Type 3.0 Sport with the 5 speed stick. I was wondering if anyone had experience with that and could offer feedback as well as compare it to an X-Type 2.5 Manual. My poor X-Type had a tree fall on it and I'm not yet sure whether I am repairing that or getting another car.

I've never driven a stick S-type (they're pretty rare over here) but I have driven an X-type back to back with my S-type. I found very to indicate they even came from the same manufacturer, never mind being a similar type car. About as different as it gets.
