S-Type 4.2 similar to Lincoln 3.9 ???

While the thread title may seem a little odd I've been having a hard time finding ANY info about the Jag 4.2 and the Lincoln 3.9.

For the longest time I have been in love with the style of the Lincoln LS and know it is like the "sister" to the S-Type. My original idea was to find a V6/5sp Lincoln LS and swap in the motor from a Mustang Cobra but it seems that it is impossible to swap without cutting the shock towers (not something I'd be willing to do) due to the size of the 4.6L.

My next idea (where ya'lls help comes in) is swapping in a 4.2 (maybe SC ) from a S-Type since from what I've been told they are built on similar platforms (I know they are both offered with similar 3L v6's)

So I ask you, the fine people of Jaguar Forums, where can I find info about the size of the 4.2.

The 4.2 motor is different from the earlier S-Types. 2000-2002 was the same car basically as the Lincoln LS. 2003 saw a complete redesign of interior and powertrain. Only the body looks the same. They changed subframe on the front, so it may not work.
