Dear S-Type owners, I'm replacing the rear S-Type badge on my X200 S-Type. It did not come with the badge when I bought it and I would like to get the placement as close to factory as possible. Would any member be so kind as to measure the distance from the bottom and side of the boot lid for me?

thanks for the offer williampenric, I've already stuck the badge on going off the picture in the brochure, but it would be good to know how close I was!

 

To do this. I put a tape measure from the top of the badge to the top of the rear of the boot lid.

Measuring from the top of the "S" on the S type badge (is approximately 5 inches) and the "e" on the S type badge (is approximately 5 inches) for both even though the "S" is larger and "e" smaller type (due to the curve of the boot lid the distance is almost the same).

As there are no straight lines and the boot lid top is not a perfect 90 degree angle. It is a rough guide. I doubt it would matter if you are out a little, so long as it is level.
