Default S-Type heat issue.

My 2002 S-Type only blows cold air when heat on. The External Temperature Indicator reads 127 degrees. If it rains hard or I wash it, the temp goes to normal and heat works. I'm guessing it is the ETI sensor that is causing the problem. Can someone tell me where to locate the sensor, and/or can I replace it easily on my own?
