Default S-Type R "Sport" Designation Real?

Friends -
I've seen recently for sale ads of S-Types R cars with the final designation of "Sport".

But I've not found any information that verifies the production of an S-Type R "Sport" version or what the exact upgrades might be.

Obvious guess is an upgrade to stiffer suspension, larger/different brakes etc.

Does there exist Sport versions of our lovely S-Types?

Thanks.

The web has such as https://www.supercars.net/blog/2002-...-s-type-sport/

There are PDFs somewhere, too, I expect... yes... such as

https://jaguarrules.ru/wp-content/up...Type-Sport.pdf

I used duckduckgo (or google) with
jaguar "S-Type sport" filetype pdf

My understanding is that you could buy an S-Type "Sport" or you could buy an S-Type "R". But there is no such thing as an "S-Type R Sport".

But I'm not an authority

Cheers

Isn't there some sort of color coding on the springs that sorts this?

No, no such thing as an S Type R 'Sport'.
Never appeared on any of the sales brochures.

Maybe the STR had all the Sport features anyway (& more).

Thanks to all who replied to this basic info question.

Now I remember that the Sport designation lasted until 2002 model year, and ended with the first year of the supercharged S-Type which was 2003.

Thanks again for the replies. There is no S-Type R Sport.

Yea Jaguar kind of messed up using this so called R-Sport stuff. They stuck it on a number of later Jags like XJ's and XF's and it's just confusing.
It really degraded the R high performance line of cars. All the R-sport stuff are lower line models with less equipment (V-6 not V-8) so not even close to a real R car.

So, looking at suspension springs I see both a normal and a sport spring available.
