To get the fan assembly out you will have to fish it by the AC lines I believe as well as the radiator. The jtis is vague on that point. When I did mine I had a helper for the install made it a lot easier ...and that was on the 4.2 supercharged . I would guess the v6 would not be quite as cramped...at any rate if you are doing replacement check Rock Auto for the new one. I got mine there. They have improved designs over the oem. Better construction and more tubes and fins per inch...one last thing .this will be the best opportunity to replace the sway bar bushings if they are suspect while the radiator is out.

What exactly is wrong with the radiator? Is one of the side tanks cracked and leaking?

Check condition of DCCV and the gearbox cooling lines for leaks/seepage.

Refill with DEXCOOL.

+1 on this for sure. When I did mine I disturbed the lines and caused a leak ....no way to avoid moving them around...check to see if the rubber portion of the cooler line is somewhat supple or rock hard....you should not be able to twist the rubber line where it goes to metal....if you do have a leak or concerns about the cooler line hoses I have a thread for my repair and it works great
