Ok I need some help what is the best software and cable etc for my laptop , I have a scanner tool that just reads and clears no good for this Cat
first I was lean on A and B bank now im Rich Both Banks and I have a P0456
and have smoke tested it and found Nothing no dry rotted hoses etc

 

A friend of mine bought this one years ago and liked it, so I borrowed his and it seems to work fine. After borrowing his a couple of times, I purchased this one too.

There's a detailed thread in General Tech. You want one with live data so you can read LTFTs. The elm327 is great value.

Smoke will only find some leaks fairly easily. Others are a pain.

 

 

I have used OBD link SX for more than 2 years now, great for diagnostics and real time data review and capturing. Has realtime gauges and data logging capability which is great for on road driving and evaluation of engine troubles.
