Not unique to the S-Type. Lots of complaints on bimmer forums too. Probably elsewhere also.

So the lamps are all normal and now I can drive at night. I have as yet to do that in this car.

Great tip! Mine look exactly like yours did... I will call and verify it's covered before making an appointment

Thanks, again!

Called my dealer. Tie Rod Bushings are Not covered by Select Edition Warranty, per my Service Advisor. I was told "no suspension parts are covered".

Called Jaguar, they thought they were only covered if broken due to another part failure, but said the Dealer would know better.

I asked for any documentation that shows what "is" covered. She said she had a document that she would email me that says what "is not" covered. I'll let you know what I receive...

(There are 2 level sensors and one or both can go bad.)

The racks seem pretty good.
One of them was me. Happened in Dec. 2008 and fixed under original factory warranty. Gauge was flopping between ~roughly 3/4 and 3/8 full. It does erroneously affect the mpg and other related mileage numbers on the computer.
Without warranty, it would have been ~$900 + -.
I'll have to dig up the paperwork to list what was done.
