Service Manual? S-Type
I just bought a 07 S-Type and have been searching for a service manual.I've found CD's on Ebay that have information up to 2004. Is the engine still pretty much the same to give me accurate info on my 07?
You'll find that the JTIS CD (covering through the 2004 model year) will be 95% or more correct on the various issues that you'll need to address during your ownership period. For about $6 on Ebay, getting a JTIS CD is well worth it. For the remaining 5%, just ask your questions here. You'll get the help you'll need....
Welcome to the forum! Nice buy
Hope you got (or get) a good warranty cos it takes away any worry.
Please put your car details (engine etc) in your signature.
In case you want more up to date info, it's available from Jaguar. Some is in various publications and other is on GTR / TOPIx (link from their home page) but you have to pay. My guess is you'll be fine with JTIS but just be cautious, especially about:
electrical (computer stuff etc)
emissions-related (they added stuff)
Some of it can be found by careful reading of sales brochures.
But you probably won't need any of it.

I bought a JTIS CD a while ago of Ebay. Think the Volvo Vadis is streets ahead in terms of userbility, and surprised there are no exploded drawings with part numbers, or an I missing all that?
No one said that JTIS is well-organized or easy to use. It isn't. In fact, it reminds me of slow-footed computer programs circa 1978. But once you take the time to learn how to use it, you can usually find the information you need. Yes, it's cumbersome and not very intuitive. But for six bucks, it's still a bargain for any do-it-yourselfer....
