2001 4.0 s type.this is my sons car.It developed a oil leak(valve cover and tube seals] motor siezed up.this car is in exelent condition other than that.Are there long blocks or even short blocks (crate motors) avalable for this modle?

 

How was the engine diagnosed to determine it was seized?

If the spark plugs have been removed, use a 24mm socket and breaker bar on the crankshaft bolt to try and rotate the engine in a clock direction when viewed from the front of the vehicle.

 

thanks for the reply.we did just that and it wont budge.im going to fill the cyleders up with wd40 and let it sit.if that dosnt work ill pull the panb and take a look athe crank and rod berrings,wats the chance of finding rebuild parts.
