Default Smallest wheel size that will fit rear of STR

So after going to the track with wheels way to large, I have been thinking of picking up a set of rear wheels with some better tires for those days. I know I don't have an LSD (yet) but I want to know if 17s or even smaller would fit the rear. I believe the rear brakes are 11.2 or 11.5. The biggest issue is going to be dealing with the offset due to the Brembos. I have seen the Merc guys run floating calipers in the rear instead of fixed, but I don't even know if the mounting points are the same for us.

Any ideas?

Not sure on the smallest wheel size but the rear disc is 12.4" I believe?

Brake Disc Rear - C2C8356 | Jaguar S Type, Jaguar XJ - X350 - XJR | Jaguar | British Parts UK
If that's correct, you have 330mm ( 12.9" ) rear disc. My XJR has 305mm and
I was able to fit 16" wheels to the rear. XJR front ones are 325mm and they require at least 17". I think you may just and just get 17" fitted.

Hmm, not sure why I had 11 inches stuck in my head. Worst case 17s would still be better than the 20s for launches.

Rear disc will be 330mm x 15mm (solid) I think.
Can't see 16" wheel fitting, not sure about 17.

I had 18's on my XJR (same brakes) & there was heaps of space on the back, 17's will be no problem, 16's will be tight. Bigger problem is finding a wide enough wheel in 17" or 16" with the right PCD, hub & offset...guess you want at least 8" wide...

If I could find a set of steel wheels I could always get them widened if needed. Did any of the jags come with a 17x8 at all?

Not aware of steel wheels in 17"
The wheels that fit from PCD & Hub are here

http://www.wheelfitment.eu/PCD/5x108/63.3/
http://www.wheelfitment.eu/PCD/5x108/63.4/
http://www.wheelfitment.eu/PCD/5x108%20/63.5/

All the factory alloys from Jaguar in 17" are only 7.5" wide.
You need 5x108 with 63.4mm hub, offset around 50-60mm
Maybe a steel wheel from a Mondeo or Volvo could be available, but I think steelies stop at 16"...

JagV8, the Brembo's are the same for the STR & XJR/SuperV8
