Have an s type which is now smoking are some one used it for a wedding and put 2 bottles of rede in half a tank of diesel but it has no lights on dash
Any thoughts

 

It would be helpful if you provide more vehicle details such as the number of kilometres/miles, MY, engine type and size and the conditions that cause the issue you need help with.

You may also want to post your enquiry on the UK forum as most of the members on this forum are from North America where Jaguar never offered a diesel variant of the X200.

How did they manage to open the fuel tank cover as it should be locked when the key is not in the ignition (at least this is the case with mine). This should allow you to find the person who committed this act of vandalism and hand them the bill for draining the tank and flushing the system.

You may then have luck that no permanent damage has been done and if that is case let them pay for the repairs.

Or do you mean redex engine cleaner, then as long as they used the varient for diesel engines then there should be no problem, just fill the tank up to dilute it and run the engine. If they used the wrong type then get in touch with the firm that makes it and ask them for advice
