So it starts, abruptly...
So I was driving at night down I-80 towards San Francisco when I happened upon a freshly dropped 2x4 post in my lane. With no where to move I sucked it up and ran it over. Bent all four wheels, the front right so much that it wouldn't hold air. Creamed the passenger side torque strut bushing as well.
After the repairs I figured it would be the perfect time to do some mods. I gave a call to CCW and swapped out the damaged factory wheels for some CCW C2K's in 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear. with a set of Potenza pole position S-04's in factory sizes.

I also picked up a set of H&R sport springs and some bilstein sport replacement shocks. So starts the endless pit that is modding.

Waiting at the shop

To come: supercharger porting, pulley upgrade, complete rework/redesign of the intake tract including intercoolers and teh meth.

Please post pics when you have everything installed; those wheels are sweet!
What size tires will you run up front? I'm running the standard size 245/40/18 but the front seems very bulbous to me.
Sorry about the mishap btw; at least that's all that was harmed and you're safe.

Looks very stealth Rob, I like it. I agree on a lower stance; with the those rims and a slight additional drop your car will be perfect.
Great setup, I will live vicariously through other members who mod since I promised the wife I won't.

Thanks
There are plenty of examples of that finish on a number of simillar sized sedans in the gallery at the dipyourcar website . I don't think there is any danger of it not looking good imho. Anyway the beauty of plastidip is it's easy to apply, relatively cheap and if you don't like it you can just peel it off, no harm no foul. There are plenty oy youtube videos showing how durable it is as well, it's tough stuff.
H&R spring/Bilstein sport shocks installed today!
I have to say, the S-type suspension is wonderful to take apart.
And if you look closely you will note whoever had this car before me had a front to back rotation done haha

Much better stance now.

Pulling the suspension apart is pretty easy. but you will need a spring compressor to swap the coils.
the rear coilover assemblies will slide right out, you just remove the bottom bolt securing it to the suspension arm and the four hat bolts. In the front you have to remove the upper arm to hub bolt, the swaybar end links and brake calipers to get enough movement in the lower arm to remove the coilover assembly
