I paid 58k for the 65. Yes...the repairs are way more such as the hydraulic suspension. That's a $20,000 service at the dealer lol. But, I was able to get a 2 year bumper to bumper warranty on it for 6k so I took it.

Nice Viper bud. Two wildly different cars, I'm guessing you didn't need the sedan anymore? I had an '05 convertible for a while..ended up driving it into the ground.

I have 2 other cars, both sedans. This is most likely the last chance I will have at owning a car like this in some time (if ever again) before the wife starts wanting kids and such.

12.52 @ 115.46 in a DA of 8200 feet, or about an 11.5 @125 at sea level. Best run I ever had in the STR was a 13.6 @102. Dyno on Friday .

He had a 1 second head start (bracket racing). I sat at the line too long on green anyways.

Dyno on Friday, but its the Venom 650R package from Hennessey. Heads, cam, rocker/rollers, exhaust work for sure.

513 whp, 516 torque. A little shy of the advertised 650, probably closer to 610 at the crank. Still, not too bad!

Awesome! I wonder if your STR with a twin scew supercharger would've put down more. An average looking saloon car having ~500rwhp just appeals to me more for some reason

XFR or CTS-V would be the way to go then. I have yet to see a twin screw STR. I'm not sure if a twin screw would've gotten me another 160 whp, but it sure would've been fun!

From the way Avos is talking about it, it may not be too long until we find out how much power a twin screw STR can develop... videos of your STR equipped with a TS racing would've been epic. I suspect that e55k you raced a while back would've been toast on all runs

I wonder where that new challenger hellcat would sit with its 707hp

Alas, someone else will have to follow that path. I don't mean to sound like a downer, but I've been hearing that the twin screw setup is close to completion for years. I know Avos won't release it until everything is perfect, so it should be great when it finally does come out!

He had a 1 second head start due to a slower dial time. He actually had a real good reaction time, mine was terrible.

The Hellcat was out here for Mile High Nationals last month and went 12.1 @118 mph (not sure if on drag or street tires). At sea level it has run 11.2 on street tires and 10.8 on drag tires.

The financials remain near the top of my cost/benefit analysis and the mpg, comfort, crusing ability, and looks all continue to work well for me. No desire at all to sell it at this point (although my wife would like to see it replaced by a newer Mercedes E-Class sedan or a newer Porsche Cayenne SUV)....
Ah, ive always been a jag fan, I dont think porche or benz has much body wise on em....
God bless ya hopefully ya wont have to sell it 4 a while

Nice on the Viper. Always have had a soft spot for those. Especially since the 96-99 models have forged internals. Would love to own one later on.

Yes the TS has now been talked about for 5+ years and I think that if it does come out there won't be anyone to buy it??

The STR is getting so cheap that who could put the $5-6K required into a $8-10K car?

I wanted one and have helped AVOS with measurements on the STR. It's a great project and I hope to see it in operation sometime but I don't think it will be with me!
