I'm in Canada, it's a lot harder for me to return it if it fails. I prefer to have someone local give it a shot first before I throw down the hard-earned bucks.

Im telling you guys, if they dont work on your STR's Id be interested in buying the set from you to see if they work on my LS. Its just that nobody has any real info/pics on them yet and I dont want to be a guinea pig, Id be much more content with dropping seven hundo if I had at least some high res pics.

Especially as the STRs put out a lot more heat it has to deal with compared to the stock LS ones. Then upping the heat even more with other modifications on the STRs should be taken into account of the development of the headers. So as a heads-up I would suggest making sure before you sponsor a company to make one that they understand that part and take that into their design, unless I am saying something irrelevant (headers isn’t my experience area).

Headers need to fit with as few bends as possible. They need to be wide enough to evacuate the gases while maintaining proper pulses.....they need to be coated for many reasons.

The reason that I want someone local to check it out is that the shop will have a car on which to test fitment. It's a tight engine bay...

Well if they fit the 4.2 L then they will fit the 4.0. That's what so neat about these. The DEW98 platform which the S Type is built on did not change for the whole production run. So the 1999-2008 Jaguar S Type, 2000-2006 Lincoln LS and the Ford Thunderbird 2002-2005 are all the same for the basic body structure. These headers were listed for the Thunderbird and the only known picture of them installed is on a T-Bird. It looks like someone is finally going to find out if they will fit the Jaguar S Type!!

Super_Jag great news and keep us posted!! I think if these fit like they should they will sell more sets than they thought!!

The only STR that I know of that had full-length headers was the Ferlito Motors race car. Really wish I still had my pics of those. (They used to be on the old str registry site.)

Any idea WHERE on that site and roughly (or accurately) the name? I may be able to find them but need some pointers.

This is a different Jaguar S Type race car. You can see the exhaust a little bit! This has a claimed 650 HP.
