Sure he will. Some folks wait there whole lives just to be half as popular. Everyone likes to feel wanted. LOL.
Seriously though, I hope he still got access to a computer, so we know he's alright. Divorce ain't fun. Been there, done that.

Same..."Been there done that". Perhaps if we all "kick in" ($$$) to fight her attorney we'll free this guy from this scourge and ultimately benefit from these headers?... Just trying to help, jeez!

We have the name of the company that manufactured the headers...anyone game? I'll likely be ready in this fall or winter.

This fall I'm either sending the blower to Steigmeier for "Snake Bite" or doing headers. I Hope we keep this thread alive and "The Man With the Stainless Steel Headers" returns to the "Stainless" screen.

Update for you 3.0 owners out there:

The Snake Bite kit won't help us, but word on the street is that Mattel is considering coming out with a Toad Bite kit for our cars....

"Toad Bite"? LOL! Jon89, the Manaflows on my STR came off the 2002 X-Type 3.0 I traded. While installing a new engine into the X-Type, I had the mechanic bolt exhaust manifolds (header like and much better flowing) from a 1999 Taurus 3.0 DOHC. Stock X-Type cats are extremely restrictive and cook the engine since they are basically bolted to the block. After manifolds...dumps into 2 1/2" pipe, stock pre-cat O2 sensors leading to freer flowing cats., aft. O2 sensors, converging into a single 2 1/2" pipe, splitting just aft. of axle to Magnaflow mufflers. She had a cleaned up airbox (removed sound deadening fins) with extra a 3" hose coming from bottom of airbox leading to top of radiator (next to stock air intake tube). K&N flat panel airfilter. Car is now 30 lbs. lighter with an approx. 30 hp increase= 227 hp + 30 hp = 257 hp. Throttle response was noticeably crispier. Probably nocked 3/4 second off 0-60 and 1/4 mile. Sounded meaner too.

Just look at the "Snakebite" on the web site. The STR uses the same M112 Eaton as the 2003-2004 Cobra Mustang. Just a different casting to bolt to a different engine. If you call and talk to someone they can give you all the details. Power increase have been said to be in the 50-70 HP range. But like always no real documentation to back it up! At least yet!!

The "Snake Bite" is not car specific. Port/polish/re-gear= Increased blower volumn and efficiency= less heat. Re-geared= increased blower speed (approx. 3 lb. of boost for a total of 16 lbs. total boost). Adding a low temp. thermostat and a dyno tune may yield approx. 70+ hp, and 80+ lbs. trq. I would love my STR to crank out 475+ hp and 500 lbs. trq.! Wait! What if we add headers and alky injection? I believe there's 500+ hp and trq. on the horizon.
Yesterday while fueling up the Expedition for our vacation to Cape Cod (filled to the hilt with wife, four kids, and the kitchen sink), an 03 black convertible Mustang Cobra was parked nearby. The owner said she was sporting a Kenne Bell S/C, etc.. Of course I bragged about my STR and explained to him that my wife and kids would very much appreciate his departure as to be most rememberable. Man! he spun and burnt those wide 275's all the way down the road through four gears. Must be nice to have 500+ hp and trq.? I swore after selling my 98 Mustang Cobra five years ago that my muscle car years were behind me. Help!

There is no cure, except MORE POWER! Go ahead... you know you wanna...it'll make you feel better...it's good for you...just a little MORE POWER! (So much fun being a bad influence. LOL!)Oh yeah, for you v6 guys & gals, there is a company that makes, (among other things,) a roots-type supercharger kit for the Maza6/Ford Fusion crowd. Come to think of it, they had headers & stuff too. I'll see if I can find a link somewhere.

LOL! Panthro. He's psychotic S-Type V6 folks, but correct. There are Mazda and Ford tuning products and procedures that will make your 235 hp 3.0's churn out close to 300 hp.
You wanna know a few tricks to make your 3.0's come alive (safely) with approx. 25 hp? I traded a 2002 X-Type 3.0 with a custom exhaust and airbox for my 03 STR. Replace the 3.0's weezing exhaust manifold with that of the 1999 Ford Taurus 3.0 DOHC (or Mazda Speed's 3.0's headers if the Taurus's manifolds are facing incorrectly). They're header-like and flow way mucho better. Exit manifolds with 2 1/2" pipe, bolt on freer flowing cats (procure from a larger V6 or small V8), continue with 2 1/2" pipe, delete resonators, 2 1/2" pipe to Magnaflow mufflers. Re-engineer the stock airbox (remove the sound deadening/restrictive baffles) and place in a K&N panel air filter. Place in a low temp. thermostat; as a means to keep the ECU from dampening the fuel curve and spark. She'll have both crispier throttle response and "gitty-up and go"! You'll notice she'll reach the upper power band noticeably quicker too...not to mention a tolerable but respectable Jag growl. The ECU will learn and adapt to the new found breathing and scavenging; advancing spark and richening the fuel curve along the way.
I wouldn't advize super charging the 3.0; as it has 10.5:1 compression (fairly high; good for building hp and trq.).

Sorry about the delay I had no way of test ftting the headers, I didn't have a garage and my wife ended up keeping the house and all materials inside, my headers stayed I had to buy the from her. Anyways I went to different shops and no one wants to touch them. One shop told me they will cahrge me 1k to install and if they modify them its extra. I guess I am not fit to try this right now, so I am going to sell them to see if anyone else can solve this. Pm any offers

Hey Super_jag! Glad to hear from you. Too bad about your recent luck. Maybe you should try the lotto. Seriously though, just take care of you & yours. The stuff for the car will keep.
