Nope.... The two dashes are totally different not to mention that the electrical connections all changed in '03. The audio connections on the 2000 - 2002 cars are basically Ford.

 

why would you put a newer model stock radio? I mean I dont think they fit like JOsorth mentioned. I installed a pioneer premier on it with 6 1/2 component speakers with an amp and they sound like a movie theater. Let me know what you have in plans though

 

Metra Said if People Start Calling and Requesting a Dash kit They will make it so us 1999 to 2002 S typer's Can upgrade Please call them cause i have my hold Car Stereo Beefed up just waiting for the Dash kit to Finish off the Sound

From the looks of the 2000 to 2002 dash isn't the factory stereo just a normal double DIN unit?? I thought you didn't need a kit for those, just a double DIN head unit...
