I have never removed mine in 90K miles. Not needed.

If you do remove it be aware that the gasket might get damaged and cause a leak. So don't remove it until you have that gasket.

Default str coolant fill plug

i replaced the throttle return hose under sc, trying to bleed system of air. identifix says
1. remove expansion valve screw
2. fill to max mark
3. instll bleed screw
4. instll cap
5. remove super charger fill plug
6. top off coolant through sc port
7. turn ignition on, aloow sc pump to run and top off coolant in fill plug.
8. install fill plu, run rngine
9. set heat to max, blower to max
10. run till heat comes out of vents
11. cool engine, fill expansion tank to max.

waht do u think, first jaguar, wanted to do it the "correct" way. ive done lots of other cars different ways.

I agree the various procedures do say to do it. When I asked my local jag parts guy he said they don't even stock the gasket and they don't find they need to do that extra top up. There again, we know sometimes shops don't do proper work so... decide for yourself

There's a separate SC coolant pump low down which should send coolant round and I can't see why this extra top up would be needed, but that's worth what it cost you!

Well I have changed and flushed the coolant on my 2005 STR and I have never added fluid to anything except the top tank. The IC circuit always fills and I don't have any problem getting it filled. I run the car thru a few hot to cold cycles over the next week after the change and just top it up daily. After about 3 days it only takes a small amount of coolant and after 5-7 days it takes no more.

Sorry I am not sure what you have done so far??
Has the DCCV been changed?
Has the heater core been flushed by itself?
Has the AUX coolant pump been changed?

SC coolant fill, or not, won't affect heat in cabin. Is a separate coolant circuit.

Default No heat

I replaced the throttle coolant hose under the sc. I have no leaks. I here a hissing right by the sc coolant fill plug, do not have a pressure tester to check. I questioned if I had the heat core hoses correct, but figured it would over heat if I had them wrong. I sprayed come throttle cleaner hissing and engine didn't change. I had heat before hose change.

Default Done!!!!!

Figured it out, ran the car for a while and fixed the heat. The hissing is the rubber boot on the sc cooler, tried to go cheap, will order two boots in am. Thanks everyone
