STR - engine shroud question

STR - engine shroud question

I've noticed in some engine photos of the STR the shroud is off the top of the engine, is it better to run this way? cooler temps?

I don't think it makes much of a difference. Just perhaps keeps the engine noise down a tad.

Depends on the look you want I would think. Mine never came with it when I bought it.
