There is an aftermarket supplier that uses Saturn V rockets from the Apollo program to further boost the horsepower and thrust. The kit includes a heat shield and parachute for re-entry into the atmosphere.

I stand corrected on fuel cut/governer as I got into it today with a couple of Audi's on my way to work! Cruise set at 75, on my *** comes this A8L. Before I can switch lanes for him to pass he jumps out around me and hammers down. So of course I did what anyone would do and hammered down as well! Caught and passed him with ease...... Till I hit 125mph. Then guess who comes rolling by me.... Ugh so frustrating. So I continue on my way to work which is an hour drive. Up ahead I spot another Audi! This one is a S5! Pull up next to him and give the hand jester to see if he wants to do a pull! He smiles and gives me a thumbs up! We three beep and take off! I pull about 3 cars on him till I hit my beloved 125mph mark and my car shuts down. Guess who comes rolling by me like I'm standing still? And he literally put and 1/8th mile distance on me in no time..... I hate that my car is governed at 125mph.

 

Only way to change it is put effort in whether DIY or go for the tuners. Won't change by mentioning it time after time!

 

Taking it to the dyno tonight! I will post a video and numbers. Then I will order the pulley and tune. And put it back on the dyno to see where it's at......

Argh, I feel your frustration. It won't help me telling you that I took the jag out for a drive tonight and the needle flew past 125. I've seen a video of youtube of what seems like an STR from the US - . This must mean that there are differences in the limiters amongst US STRs too.

 

I can guarantee that any S-type in Canada can do 160 or more- even the 6 cyl. models.

 

Your right it won't change! Sorry for being frustrated and venting! Anyway, to those "WHO CARE" I had the car on the dyno tonight and did 7 pulls with it. Highest numbers it put down were 347hp and 359tq. Better than I expected!
