Default struts upgrade or oem and a small rant info needed

HEY GUYS! I am in the middle of my rear susepnsion rebuild and im only missing my rear struts not all arms and bushing are replaced and i just need new bilsteins im contemplating the oem b4 or upgraded b6 yellows i have seen that kyb list a upgrade set but i cant get away from the bilsteins there probaly the best shockl and strut i have ver used. my question is has anyone noticed a diffrence in the b4 to b6? the price isnt a issue there so close im ok with a tiffer ride as i dont think it will be much any ways. also a peice of advice DO NOT HIT YOUR CONTROL ARM WITH A HAMMER IT WILL BREAK my stabalizer end link was sezzed in the arm and i smacked it with a hammer and off went the little ear! so new arm incoming SMH.
well you guys are the best and im going to get at it im taking pictures along the way of turning my 500 dollar stype into a beautiful daughter hauler! i will be repairing and painting my new to me Mecury wheels and when it comes to the paint i dont know if i should go with a graphit gray or just a silver like the oem finish my car is the MDZ silver. does any one have any pictures with the graphite wheels? just looking to see what it will look like!!!! so Stocked to have this gem sorry for the rant!! i do it a lot

Yes cast aluminium is brittle. Try using a balljoint splitter next time or just cut the nut off with an angle grinder and replace the drop links. The drop links cost peanuts and cutting the old ones off is so much easier.

As for your query about shock absorbers:
1. Are you planning on taking the car on track days?
2. Are you planning on towing with the car or using it fully laden much?
If the answer to both questions is ‘no’, go with the standard spec shocks.
If the answer is ‘yes’, go with the uprated ones.

You have a Jag so you can waft along, cosseted in gentle comfort; why make the ride harsher unless it is necessary?
The standard suspension setup is plenty good enough for normal and spirited road driving. Bilsteins are a good quality item.

Yea I am so used to steel parts lol I didn't really strike it that hard ether lol. This is definitely not my first rode working on cars as I have been since I was 12. And every family member comes to me and neighbors and there friends ect lol.
so for the shocks I'm just a spirited driver i love cornering and driving quick. So maybe I'll stay oem but may grab the b6. I can't make my mind up. I have a lot of small things to still do so as I do them I'll ponder the question. Really excited about painting and getting my new to me wheels on. Wooohoooo what a Sunday

I have a 2003 Stype with a NA V8 and got some Bilstein "sport" rear shocks for my car a while ago from tirerack for about $75 a piece a while ago. They are a little stiffer than originals and make the car a little less boaty through the corners, but still give it a pretty cushy ride.
