SType blows hot ONLY on BOTH side and back vents - RESOLVED
I have a 2005 Jaguar Stype, AC blows cool, compressor comes on, but ever since I had the the Heater Control Valve fixed it blows hot on both the drivers, and passengers side vents. Also blows hot thru the back vent. The heater didn't work at all before having the valve fixed, I bought a new climate control module hoping it would fix it but as i wait to have it replaced im starting to question whether its the right move or not.
It's easy to blame the water valve...even when they're new, they have a high propensity for failure. However, that being said, the road to success is illuminated by Karl's epic HVAC troubleshooting guide. It should be in the stickies by now. Follow it stem to stern and you'll find the culprit. My battery is about to die, so if you can't find it, I reckon Karl or someone else will happen along shortly to help you with a link.

Specifically, see post #2 to test that new DCCV. No assuming (Danger! Danger!) it's good just because it is new. Also check fuse F32 under the hood.
After that, please follow the links near the end of post #2. They will take you to very detailed instructions to test the circuit powering the DCCV. In some cases on 2003+ cars, the DCCV can draw too much current and burn up the control panel. Follow those instructions to make sure the control panel has not been damaged.
If damage is found, your new DCCV is at fault and needs to be replaced. You can send your damaged panel to be repaired at a reasonable cost. If you want to try your new panel instead, first make sure the new DCCV didn't burn up the original panel.

Update** replaced the CC and it AC is working like new. All vents blowing ice cold. Hope this helps someone whos having odd AC problems. Did it at home with 3 star screws, 15 minuets, and hope. Easier Radio/CC replacement Ive ever done.
Hi mate I have just been reading the guide when you say the CC do you mean the HCCV? or something entirely unrelated? As my S type R has similar problem
Yeah do you meen climate control module???? CCM??? We try to be exact even if jaguar land rover doesnt and cant seem to call parts the same names between the workshop manual, sdd, parts and warranty coding. It's agravating af

Sorry, yes the Climate Control module. Ill also note that it didnt give me a code for the blown Climate Control Module when i checked codes. My radio was also blown to where the volume/buttons would only work on certain occasions. It was a quick fix, 10ish screws and a few clip plugs for the whole center console.
yeah it wont throw codes. You have to pin the ground signal from the CCM to the DCCV. no operation and you have blown circuit/s in the board. When I repair I do both and beef them up so they're not so fragile.
