My cat a 2001 3.0l v6 .... when it rain if i park outside and took my car ... sometimes when i put the ignition on my sunroof completely open by itself and I can't close it until the car allow me....
I think it could be a shortcut due to water but where ... I've looking all the interior of the car and there is no water

anyone ?

I wonder if a battery disconnect and then window reset would help? (Just guessing)

 

it would pay to charge and check the battery condition as these cars are fussy about power supply.
and maybe try a hard reboot first .
but also
its good practice to clear the water drains in the four corners of the roof every once and a while.
because it can leak in to the interior light and roof switch if there blocked .
there are posts you can search for that .

also in this thread is instructions to reset the sunroof .
its in the x400 x type section but i believe this also corresponds to s type also . i know it worked for my 03 s type .
