I just purchased a 2006 super charged r s type and I’m just wondering if the trans could be swapped to a 3.0 stype and what other parts line up the v8 is not running bought it partially taken apart around the engine and I am unaware of how to put things back in place I’m around the south alabama area if any one on here is around would love to learn more about the car

Sadly, in my oppinion it is not a realistic option to swap the gearbox or indeed most other R parts of the engine and power train in to a 3.0.
Even if it could physically fit the electronic controls would be near impossible to sort out.

Repairing the STR or another one might be best.
