Default Throttle Body Replacement

Hi all,

As you may be aware, I'm having a few problems with my car throwing out codes and amber failsafe. One of the codes is P1584, so I'm going to look to change the TB.

Just a quick question. Is this as easy as it looks? Is there anything I need to be mindful of. Car is a 2000 4.0l.

Thanks
Mike

The code is that the TACM cannot get the TB to do as it wants, I believe. I suppose it's a guess which of the 2 is at fault.

The TB is high-precision but I think you can swap it if you have a spare. Make sure they're both fully closed and power is off as I think the PCM is going to be upset if it finds the TB position at power on is different.
