Default Throttle Delay

there is a delay in kickdown whenever i full throttle the car, feels like i can count to 4 seconds before it shifts down and fully goes. 2005 S Type R

.check for any codes ....probably should check fluid level....if all of that is good, then need to hook up to sdd and use the diagnosis feature, or clear tcm adaptations and let it relearn...i have an 06 str that i did a complete fluid change on recently....casstrol multi out and mercon sp in...my tcm was acting wonky after the change because of the pressure changes and now the correct viscosity of the mercon sp....cleared adaptations and followed the relearn drive cycle and now trans is perfect....have you done any recent trans or drivetrain work....even sensors

1. How long have you had the car? If not long then it's because it's learnt the previous owner's driving style

2. Are you using S (Sport) mode? If not, do.

3.Get someone to time it as I very much doubt it's anything like 4 secs.
