Any one know if the Motorcraft TPS unit for the 2006 Lincoln LS has the same resistance range? Genuine Motorcraft units are available for around $50.

I cleaned the throttle body on my '04 V6 and installed it and it works perfectly! No reprogramming or Jag voodoo required! The only trick is to have the bit for the TPS screws. This is a common 5-point torx TS20 tamper-resistant bit, not a Jaguar specialty bit. Regular torx are 6-point and don't work. A set including the correct bit is available on Amazon for $8.99. I ordered the TPS from automotivepartsfactory.com. It was advertised for the X-type, but works perfectly on my S-Type (and, I expect, the XKs as well). I hope this helps you guys avoid having to buy a new throttle body from Jaguar. Carl

A seies if photos from my dash coukd this also be to do with the thrittle body issue.
Also the speedo drops out and the rev counter too.
Happens every couple of months and clears after puging in diagnostics and clearing numerous fault alarm that are unrelated

I would start by charging the battery fully. These faults occur with low battery voltage. Car needs over 14 volts when running around 12.7 when not. might not solve the problem but worth a try.

How old is battery? Does car get daily use? short drives can kill battery.

I couldn't find a new one. I did purchase a used one from ebay a couple months back for about $50.00. It came with a 30 day guarantee. No problems with it. Used throttle bodies were going for around $125.00 on ebay.

This was for Jon89's old 2005 S Type 3.0, which my friend Todd now owns.

Default Throttle position sensor mount screws

I have a early 2002 S-Type 3.0 V6 with the Older Style Throttle body. What Torx size are the 5 flute mounting screws for the Throttle Position Sensor ?
Thank you.

I just replaced a 2002 throttle assy today but I did not look at the tamper-proof Torx Plus screws.
I am not walking down to my shop tonight but I will check in the morning!!

My guess will be T25 but why not buy a set?

$50 and it did NOT work. I swapped it w/bad china one, the china one worked perfect, put the oem used one back in got ALL faults as soon as I turned the key to on without even starting it, seller said they we're tested, lol NOT> I just bought another china one, need to be on the road, if it lasts 7-9 Monthas again I am good, plus it is so easy to swap.

The reason I asked the question, my son tells me the TS25 seems too small and the TS27 is too large.

Another update. Got a Jag USED tps off a 56k mile XJR and it didnt work, sent it back. Got another china one, put it in as soon as I hit the key got all the errors again just like Jag one, then put on the first china one that was periodically acting up back in and presto again it works! WTF? Ready to buy a for sale sign.
